Our little Cody gave us a scare this week and we had to take him to Cobb Emergency Vet. They were awesome!! Dr. Judy Johnson was his first Dr. And she seemed genuinely concerned for our boy. She was very thorough in getting every detail of what was going on with him. He had to stay there for two nights and ended up with sweet Dr. Lane, whom also was very thorough and answered every question I had. They allow you to come visit and call for updates whenever you want to. The nurses that were assigned to him were very nice and pleasant to speak with over the phone and always had updates for us. Lisa worked the front desk while I was in and out, and she also was very kind and pleasant. They all work hard for our fur babies! Cody is home now and doing ok, but still recovering from a "ruff" week. Thank you Cobb Emergency Vet for taking care of our sweet boy, Cody.

I am not impressed with this clinic. My 3 year old male cat was taken in this morning (11/17/17) for a urinary blockage. They gave me an estimate of $2000 and I paid it immediately. They are keeping my cat overnight for several days and pumping fluids in hope the stone or crystal passes. However, they did NOT include an X-ray in their estimate, they did not include fluids, etc. They WILL upsell you on every damn test in the book and act as though your animal has every issue. My cat's kidneys were great (which is a major concern when a urinary blockage happens) but NOW they "think" he is diabetic and want to run 800 other tests in regards to that. They also recommended I put him on a special diet, but when asked what that looked like they said "consult your regular vet- we aren't experts in nutrition". Are you kidding me? I just spent $2000 on my animal and you provided a recommendation, but could not elaborate on it? I am a 24 year old young post-graduate and they did nothing to help keep this affordable. Dissapointed!!!!!!

Thanks again for everything!

I had to bring my best friend of 16 years there on Thanksgiving night to put him to sleep. It was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. Alexa and Dr. Lane (not sure if I spelled that correctly) were amazing. I was a mess and probably a bit abrasive. They were so understanding and sympathetic to what I was going through. I couldn't of asked for a better group of strangers to help with sending a very big part of my family to heaven. I just wanted to get on here and show my appreciation. I'll probably never see them again but I'll never forget the grace that they showed me during that tough time. Thank y'all so much.

A vet tech spoke to us for free and gave us unofficial piece of mind. We were not pressured in any way. And we knew that ultimately only the vet could give us a definitive answer. The tech came out right away 0 wait. Really impressed with this location but hopefully we'll never have to go back.

We found a dog on the side of the road. Turns out the dog was in labor. I called my neighbor who has successfully whelped (delivered and supervised) 23 litters of puppies. She is a professional trainer and handler. We brought the dog to her just past noon. This beautiful dog stayed in and out of labor not having sufficient contractions for about 12 hours. We checked her temp and it was high. We made the decision to bring her to this place after calling around. Upon speaking to them on the phone, they SAID, we could relinquish her as a stray and that they could perform an emergency c section. Upon arrival, we were told her vitals were fine, that she was not in active labor by one vet tech, and another said she might not even be pregnant, entirely disregarding literally EVERYTHING WE HAD INFORMED THEM OF! They didn't even check to see that she was bleeding! Literally anyone who has delivered puppies knows that if a dog is BLEEDING pre labor that is NOT GOOD! They told us that she would be in a crate and relinquished to animal control first thing in the morning. THANK HEAVENS I used my better judgement and brought the dog back to her whelping box that we had built for her! She delivered a mangeled still born at 5:45 AM this morning.... when otherwise she would have been in a crate.... and based on the intuition and knowledge these people have, they probably wouldn't have even noticed that she needed help. She could have died in that crate. To the vet tech that said she may not even be pregnant- go back to school, do some volunteer work delivering puppies - something- or get out of the business. To the other vet tech who said she was fine- from a nursing student - investigate why your patient is being brought in, treat a dog how you would an unconscious human, ACTIVELY LISTEN to WHAT THEY ARE SAYING and ACT ON IT! Hope ( the dog) has made it to a legitimate veterinary clinic who actually listens about their patients and acts on what people have to say..... rather than sticking the dog in the kennel. I spent 12 hours straight with that poor baby having mild contractions the entire time and BLEEDING the entire time. You guys need to be able to help.
