I come in here to loiter a lot, helps pass the time between now and the grave. What is lost on some people is the book selling function of the store. No company on this general area is going to give you actual cash for your books like HPB does. The other used book stores will give you "credit" which you can only use in their store, on half of the book price. If you are looking to get a couple of ducats and free up some room in your home, sell at HPB. Don't expect to pay your bills for the week with what you get, though.
What a pleasant surprise! I went in thinking this would be a no-frills, books in a box kind of store and was pleased to see that they had SO much more. Records, gifts, comic books, DVDs, and get this, 8-track tapes. I enjoyed looking around and found what I was looking for with a bonus of coffee. The staff was friendly and helpful and the whole experience was enjoyable.
This is a great store. Always neatly organised and have varied collection of different books cds vinyls and also they have some puzzles and games that are brand new
I love this book store. I used to visit one in Chicago all the time. When I moved down to Atlanta I was sad there wasn't one close by, but recently last year they opened one up in Marietta!! They carry great books for a reasonable price. I love Barnes and Noble, but their prices are very high for new books. The books at Half Price are gently used, so they appear brand new.
