I used to frequent Toyin Restaurant and although I like the food, the customer service has been dropping in recent months. The last two times I went there, the naija lady at the counter refused to serve me a certain dish insisting that I have a protruding belly and went on to rudely suggest that I eat “wheat” instead. My question to your establishment is : are you in business to give health advice or to serve food? Mind you I have to take a 40 minute drive just to eat here once a month. Please you need to brush up your staff on customer service and common courtesy.
This place has disrespectful workers and extremely unfriendly. I would never advise anyone to come to this establishment the food is extremely oily or never available. The only reason this place is even still managing is because the whole community is full of Nigerians with only 3 Nigerian restaurants. If you ever come from out of town and your friends or family tries to take you tell them you rather go to Ike’s and at least be respected.
The food was tasty but oily. I didn't like that we had to clean our table so we could dine. It seems they neglected tho clean the table after previous diners. My husband had to wait over 30 minutes for the rest of his meal (the pounded yam). That thing typically takes 5 minutes to make. Price wasn't bad though.
I recently moved to Georgia 8/9 months ago and I currently live in Columbus...meaning that I travel a total of 4 hrs just to buy food from this restaurant. I've met Toyin a couple of times in person and she seems polite...and the food is great. BUT, something needs to be done about the server (short Mexican lady) who runs the register. She can be rude sometimes...she didn't even have the decency to give me my receipt at the end of my purchase. She left my food on the counter and immediately started helping the next customer...I had to ask her if it was okay pick up my food and go. I'm American born but %100 Nigerian and this type of of behavior we don't accept. Not only that...it is almost impossible to get someone on the phone. I've tried calling several times within the last 2 months to purchase a bulk order so that I'm saving time on gas and money. What's the point of having a phone number on your website if you barely answer it. And a simple reply telling me "you're sorry" will not do it. Please address these problems, thanks.
My first time here with my hubby and we extremely enjoy the food we ate my hubby being a Caribbean loved the food and had to order a takeout. The service was so good that I felt I'm home. Please guys go get yourself some home made food at Toyin takeout restaurant .. I Will surely visit again.
