I am done with this school. I will admit if your on the football team choose on level courses because student athletes are under lots of pressure. Some of my friends are quitting next year to get there grades up . LHS has a very toxic vibe. Principals feel like they don't care unless your smart and past expectations. If you would become famous LHS would use your fame to there advantage. Principals are just stiff people in suits that seem lifeless.

I have had 3 kids graduate from Lassiter and two presently attending. I am very pleased with the education they have received and all the opportunities available to them as far as extracurricular activities. None of my kids pursued athletics, but that does not leave them out of other wonderful activities the school has to offer. A well rounded education from a school that cares about their students.

I have found the school's teacher to be, by and large, engaging and extremely helpful. Being involved in band has been wonderful in so many ways, especially under the current leadership of Mr. Thompson and Mr. Harper. They are both so devoted to the program and to the kids. In a large school such as Lassiter, it is important to become involved in band, orchestra, sports, leadership or whatever interests you. The school is academically strong and allows the kids to choose the path that suits them...on course level or Honors or AP...with Honors and AP strongly encouraged.

This school has some of the most vile and self important staff/ educators I have ever met. Most of the students are stressed beyond their limits, and I know several who had turned to unhealthy coping methods. If you do not fit their narrow idea of what a "good" student is, you will be all but told to leave. The faculty does not care about their students well being. They only care about their's and the school's image. Their school ranking is so important to them that students are not taught how to think but what to think. I Have historically been a great student, but during my time at Lassiter my grades fell, and I dreaded going to school every day. It wasn't until I went to North Springs Charter that I was able to flourish, and graduate with a 3.8 GPA. I haven't been back to Lassiter for a while, but I have heard from several people in my life who are currently having the same experiences that absolutely nothing here has changed.

Teachers are rude at times, kids there are pretty rude also. Good education though
