After having my phone stolen June 14th at Dave and Busters in Marietta, I quickly notified Officers to try and get a police report and get information on the process. It took police officers over three hours to respond, but luckily, there was an off duty officer passing by that I was able to flag down and explain the situation. After I made my report to this off duty Officer, he explained the process and told me that he would put the case in the system by Tuesday, June 20th. It is now June 28th and my case is still not in the system. I have been calling to get an update on my case since June 20th and no one was available until today, June 28th. This is absurd because after using "google find my phone," It showed the house and address my phone was reported. They could have simply got a warrant or Just knocked on the thieves door and showed them the proof. Instead, they have taken their time and have allowed enough time to transpire for the phone to be sold or trashed.

The City of Marietta allowing off duty police to use city police cars while working off duty jobs and in so doing parking them with the emergency blue lights on as if there is an emergency when in fact they are using blue lights so whomever has hired them can get the workers out of a parking lot. Wow! What a miss use of City Police Cars!. What a Waste of citizen tax dollars.

got a ticket for doing 60 on a 5 lane highway. "protect and serve" looks a lot like we need money and wont hesitate taking a college students food fund for 2 weeks. also i ve had to call 911 twice in this departments jurisdiction for breaking and entering vehicles in the parking lot, at least 5 vehicles both times while i was 3 miles down the road. a literal joke of a police force.

Just Horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have complained about music being played for the last 2 mouth s. Instead of trying to figure out who it is and start knocking on door's they come to my door and ask me to direct them where the noise is. Yes, the music plays through the night! Unbelievable! Just Horrible!

I was a Senior Paralegal for 6 years. Two Bachelor Degrees and currently a Law student. I know that police are busy, but to ignore a request for help is absurd. To allow so much time to transpire so that the case may be thrown away is insane. If it took over three hours for them to respond to a stolen phone, I can't imagine how long it would take if I was actually dying.Much of what I described is the reason why there is so much distrust in police. PLEASE DO BETTER AND BE THE CHANGE PEOPLE ARE LOOKING FOR, FROM POLICE.

The PIO at Marietta PD is doing a great job!! He keeps everyone informed. His name is Officer Chuck McPhilamy!!
